Artwork Photography
Artists have many different reasons for having their artworks recorded digitally, but they all need the same high level of image quality and photo files produced to meet their specifications. Digital photography is the best method of copying artworks: unlike scanning, it can be used with any size work, and for sculptures and other 3D pieces. Róża has undertaken specialty training in artwork reprographics and has worked with many different artists over the years. She photographs the artwork and produces master files from which different versions can be prepared for different purposes.
Photographs of 2D and 3D artworks are used to:
- Enter works for Awards and Exhibitions
- Document artworks for archival purposes, CVs, etc
- Produce high quality fine art (giclée) prints
- Accompany descriptions in exhibition catalogues
- Promote the works in marketing, web sites and social media.
Works are normally photographed in my studio located near Torquay in Victoria, easily accessible to all artists living and working in Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. But I am able to travel to shoot on location for large artworks or ones which can't be transported.
I can also produce fine art (giclée) print reproductions of the originals in a range of sizes. If requested, I will retain a copy of the digital files, and can produce additional copies on demand: no need to print a full run of an edition up front - just email or phone and I'll do it when a sale is made!
